About Las Vegas


The name Las Vegas when translated into Spanish is "The Meadows". It was extablished in 1905, and included on 16 March 1911. Las Vegas is the capital city of the state of Nevada. It has a population of just under half a million and attracts over 35 million visitors every year, about 4 million of whom are convention delegates. It is without doubt the gambling capital of the world, famous for its casinos and poker tables.

Public transport is in the form of buses and 30 plus routes around Las Vegas are operated. So whether you choose public or private transport you will have little difficulty making your way around this bustling, exciting city. Just hold on to your wallet, as it is a place where even the most conservative and cautious are in danger of getting bitten by the gambling bug that is at the very heart of this flash city.
